Temporary home required for Bassett Hound and Shepherd mix
Have you ever wanted to look after two sweet dogs and not have to worry about the cost of feeding them or vet bills.
My dogs are returning to the UK and need a temporary home until their dad can find a home of his own. Unfortunately, my building does not allow pets at all. One is a Bassett Hound, Avery the other a Red Shepherd mix. (Randy) (They're American!) They are both rescue dog, the Bassett lived on the streets for a few years, and as such is slightly nervous. The Shepherd mix is more confident and definitely the protector of the two.
The ideal environment would be a home with a completely fenced in garden where the boys could play in the day. They do love to walk and are leash trained. (Although once the Bassett gets a scent, he does tend to want to follow it...! They've not been brought up around children, especially small children, and so a house with youngsters wouldn't work. They get on well with other dogs (though Randy has to be introduced slowly, he's very protective of his older brother. They're well trained not to sit on furniture etc, are good meeting new people, and rarely bark, unless they hear a door bell:)
They're loving friendly dogs and like nothing better than being with people. The ideal home would also be quite close to me in London, so that I could visit the boys.
I would pay for all food and any other associated cost and also something for the minor inconvenience they'd cause.
Ideally, I'd like to find a home for them in December. They'll be arriving in London on 1 January. Please get in touch for further details
